God, by nature, is inherently good, as Psalm 34:8 tells us: "Taste and see that the LORD is good”. He is the foundation of goodness and of everything good—He did not obtain it from another source. People can have good traits or do good deeds, but goodness is not in our character. Our goodness comes from God.
Charles Spurgeon wrote that God is good not because he causes things that seem or feel “good” to happen in our lives, but because in the midst of the storm, God comes closer to us than the storm could ever be. This is why we can say, no matter how bad the storm is, no matter how much pain we experience, no matter how different the outcome is from what we’ve prayed for, that God is good. In the hardest moments of life, God comes close to us and he doesn’t change, he doesn’t falter, he doesn’t quit, he doesn’t leave, and he doesn’t let go.
We are asked in Psalm to “forget none of His benefits.” However, you need to help your children see that His blessings come in many forms. There are times to thank God that Lisa’s life was spared but there are also times of death. In the hardest moments of life, God comes close to us and He holds us in His loving arms, He doesn’t falter, He doesn’t quit, He doesn’t leave, and He doesn’t let go. God’s goodness is not dependent on an outcome or an emotion or a barely-missed-doom story. God is good because when the storms of life hit, he comes closer to us than the storm ever could. God is always good and our children need to understand this!

You will receive 6 downloadable pages of artwork. These pages come with a permission form so your local office store will print them out for you. When you put the artwork onto a flash drive you will need to remember to add the permission form if you are taking it to a printer. You might ask to see a test copy first and make sure the paper is not too flimsy. We like 22 to 24 lb paper (if you use a cover or card stock it will not stay glued down as long). We recommend glue sticks.
USAGE: You have our permission to use the artwork you download from this website with all the members of your immediate family (including grandchildren), and with church or homeschooling classes that you are participating in and if you are a teacher you can use them with your students. We understand if you need to be reimbursed for printing costs but ask that you do not sale them or post them on a website.
